Madeleine Bellmond has been working in one
artistic medium or another for most of her adult life. Starting
in oils she switched early to watercolours but now works almost
exclusively in either fabric, acrylic or gouache. Just as
varied is her subject matter Madeleine switches easily from
landscapes, figurative, folk art or her whimsical animals.
Depending on the subject or effect she wishes to produce she may
use a canvas, smooth fibre board, or create a fabric collage.
"I'm an artist who can't do the same thing all the time", she
says "And am for ever experimenting with new and exciting ways
to display my talent."
Another form of expression for Madeleine has been murals. She
enjoys the large format. The BIG canvas, which creates an even
bigger impact. Life sized and figurative fabric collages will be
Madeleine's next experiment. |
